Freeze Injections

What are 'Freeze' injections?

Also known as Botulinum toxin. When injected in small doses ‘Freeze’ injections visibly smooths and improves the contours of the face, giving a more youthful look.

Are there any side-effects?

Occasional side-effects would include, temporary redness, tenderness during injections and swelling,bruising at the injection site.

Who should not be treated?

I undertake a full assessment of suitability prior to the treatment. However, ‘Freeze’ injections should not be used in patients with, neuromuscular disorders, those who are taking certain muscle relaxants and antibodies such as aminoglycosides, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with infection or inflammation at the proposed site of injections and bleeding disorders.

When can i expect to see results?

Anti-wrinkle ‘Freeze’ injections can take between 2 days and 2 weeks to take full effect.

Is it painful?

Any injection can hurt, but the needles used for ‘Freeze’ injections are very small so pain is usually minimal. In addition, i offer additional local anesthesia to all patients to ensure the procedure is comfortable and pain-free.

Profhilo

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo® is an inject-able treatment designed to improve skin laxity.

What is the difference between Profhilo® and Dermal Fillers?

Due to the way that Profhilo® is formulated, it is not a volumising treatment in the same way that dermal fillers are, and is not used to enhance specific areas of the face (e.g. lips, cheeks, chin).  Profhilo® is primarily a hydrating treatment, and the Hyaluronic Acid it contains is dispersed evenly throughout the face, giving your skin a more plump and firm look overall. skin a more plump and firm look overall.

Hyperhidrosis

What is excessive sweating / hyperhidrosis treatment?

Excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis can have a serious effect on a sufferer’s life. Many people simply avoid doing things they would otherwise love to do because they are embarrassed about how much they sweat. At Fill and Freeze we have a treatment that targets the cause of excessive sweating, simply and effectively without the need for invasive surgery.

Vitamins

Who should not be treated?

I undertake a full assessment of suitability prior to treatment. However, vitamin C injections should not be used in patients that are pregnant or breastfeeding, kidney or liver disease, iron or folic acid deficiency, lebers disease, Thalassaemia, Hemochromatosis, Sideroblastic anaemia.

How often can I do the injections?

• Vitamin shots are most effective when taken at regular intervals
• For new users or those who feel their levels are particularly low we recommend once weekly for 4 weeks followed by once a month although a regular injection schedule can be individualized.
